A:Yes! It is the best thing I’ve ever used and it is better than ProActiv. I would highly recommend it!

A:Firstly, why is it that you have acne? Is it your lifestyle, genetics? I used to have a lot of acne too. For me, it went away slowly by itself, and I rarely have any trouble with it anymore. One of my friend’s used Acutane and it helped her a lot. It has side effects though, including dry or cracked skin as a common side effect. It might be worth a try. She had very oily skin also. Think about taking another trip to your dermatologist. They can clean out your pores ( pop your pimples/ zits/ blackheads with a steralized instrument). Then your current acne will be gone( but could come back if you don’t take care of your skin, or come back because of hormones). If it’s your lifestyle, change it. If it is genetics you may have a harder time. You may not be able to get it to go away completely, but doing specific things may help. You should definitely go to your dermatologist ( or if the one you went to last time isn’t working try a new one). Good luck and hope I was of some help

A:They’re many treatments for acne. The most popular is the Benoxyl. But it takes a while for it to take effect. You can find out mor by asking the local GP surgery.

A:i had same problem. but i didn’t know they automatically send u one every so often and take money from bank account. my mom got mad they did that so she called them up and canceled the next shipment and altogether for money back. kept the first shipment though. lol.

A:do NOT get proactive. it is not good at all. its really harsh on your skin and makes it worst. i don’t know about skin id. but i use Clearasil daily face wash and a zap cream nad it clears it up so well. but don’t listen to any one who says put rubbing alcohol on your face because that is harsh on your skin.

A:Ive tried both, and I like Practive much better. It works faster and notice results alomst in a weeks time! Just be careful with sun exposure, too much sun can lead to a red face.

Q:im in desperate need of help right now, i need to clear up my face overnight because i am going to a party and i want to look nice.ive used every product u cud think of proactiv,skin id,clean and clear, and cetaphil but none have really helped. i need a natural and affective approach to fix this plz help.i need answers quick.

A:it works for me a little bit on my scar from my cat and it is okay on acne, it wont totally make it disappear but it will make it less visible uh skin id usually costs 50 to 60 dollars for the bare essentials starter kit

A:I use oatmeal soap it coasts a dollar and it seems to be good for me, proative does suck i tried it and i got a bunch more pimples and stuff, and there is ome stuff that makes your face addicted to the stuff and it wants it all the time and when you stop using it, it would just make your face bad….so i like oatmeal soap ^.^

A:I used abunch of stuff they helped but nothing dramatic! If your a teenager your gonna get acne! I used proactive for a while but got tired of doing all the stepss… so I decided to just try hand soap… the stuff on your bathroom counter! A:dont use proactive cause itll make u break out more befor it makes u better i like clean and clear morning burst because its gentle but it works

A:Organic tea tree oil, and tea tree oil-based lotions, gels, face washes, body washes (courtesy: The body shop) work best. Home remedies would include rubbing garlic, honey, toothpaste, turmeric and rose water on the acne spots. Frequently washing your face with ice cold water, non-drying facewashes (not too often though) and using a good skin toner will definitely help clear your skin. I was put on a dose of tetracycline for almost a month, and that eventually helped STOP my face from breaking out.

Q:I have horrible acne and bacne. I have tried everything from clearsil to noxema and nothing seems to work well enough. I am deciding if I should try proactiv or skin id….depending on if either works and which is better. I am Italian and Portuguese I have very oily skin, not the best diet and I get stressed frequently. Which would work better? (or other suggestions) :]

A:Thats how my skin is all the time. Except never oily. I get like one pimple every month *knock on wood* but those products r slightly expensive for just keeping ur face soft… Don’t u think? Y not stay cheap unless u actually have acne problems. What I do is I have an apricot facial scrub, st ives. And I use that nightly… If I get a pimple I have clean and clear astringent. It’s like an orangey pink color, pretty cheap ). I just put that on my pimple (dab, don’t rub.. That’s freakishly harsh). And ya. That’s what works for me. Good luck!

i find mac to be over priced and not that great. mac is used for more along the lines of photoshoots, and get’s cakey looking after just a couple hours.

bare minerals looks fresh and keeps your face from breaking out or getting oily.

Q:i exfoliate and put my acne med on that has benzoyl peroxide in it and then i put on the salisylic acid treatment on and it burns so then when i moisturize it burns even more…DERMOTOLOGIST? i use skin id btw

A:If you really want too.. surgery. But other than that, scars will take a while and right now I’m using Oil-Free Acne Wash Neutrogena. And it seems to be working, not a crazy impact but I see a redness reduction and acne starting to get smaller.

A:Ok I had really bad acne too! But i used Trentonoin, it worked great on my skin! Idk if you would be able to get it easily though. It’s my moms sun cancer treatment cream:) haha do some research and see what is beat for your skin! And see whether you have oily or dry skin.

A:i have used proactive as well and i know what you mean about it working only so much. I am using neutrogena and i’m seeing great results but my acne has also has gone from moderate to mild depending on it’s mood. But the truth is that topical treatments can only do so much before you need to work on the issue from the inside. Besides using the neutrogena oil free acne wash, with jojoba oil and clean and clear morning glow moisturizer, i also drink apple cider vinegar water a few times a week or when i feel i have a pimple coming. But if you don’t want to try the apple cider vinegar solution you can also try getting some acne antibiotics from a recommended dermatologist.

A:Exfoliate, or do a microderm abrasion. They have kits that let you do this at home. I do it weekly, and I never get blackheads these days.

A:i suggest you use a face wash with benzoly peroxide (at least 5% and no more than 10%). apply it to your face about 3-5 minutes after getting in a steamy shower. the steam will open your pores allowing the face wash to penetrate and more effectively do its job. also, make sure you are drinking plenty of water and green tea, girl! and lay off the caffine because your body processes caffine the same way it processes stress which makes you break out. if you have red spots, ice them to reduce redness and inflamation, then follow with a cortizone lotion (this has a steriod that calms and soothes redness) good luck and i hope this helps!

Q:okay. i have acne.bad. skin id and proactiv are the same prices im pretty sure.
heres my problem:
you know how some say that if you use the same skin care medicine for a while, it’ll stop working because your skin gets used to it? i think thats why proactiv “stops working.”i’ve read reviews and everybody says it works for the first few months, but then it just…..stops and acne comes back.

so is this a good idea:i buy proactiv then use it until my skin becomes “imune” to it. then i buy skinid and use it till my skin becomes “imuned.” and just do a pattern. good or bad idea?
if its a good idea, which should i use first….proactiv or skinid?

A:lol i dont know the answer to this but i find it funny bc my mall has a huge proactive vending machine in it. im not even joking lol..

A:I’ve tried them all, and the answer is none of the above. I use Tea Tree Oil in the pure form. You can get it at CVS or ULTA. You can put a drop directly on a blemish when you need it, and everyday when you use your moisturizer put 2-3 drops in your moisturizer. Mix it well, rub it in, and you will see amazing results.

A:epidoue! is the best their is. aply it every night and in a month clear skin! my little cousin tried it and the first week it burned soo much that she needed ice and her face got dry but its just part if it and it was defanatly worth it. every day you could notice less and less pimples/blackheads and zit scars on her face and now she has nothing! he face is super clear! yes you MIGHT get 1 pimple every once in a while but its works 100%!

A:It depends on the kind of acne you have. If it’s sebaceous (pimples that are hard and don’t go away with time) you will need to go to a dermatologist. If it’s hormonal, you could try neutrogena. My best bet was dove followed up with a toner and oil free moisturizer.

Q:im in high school and have pretty sever acne and need a way to get rid of it… i heard about this stuff on tv and does anyone know if it really works… and if not what would u recomend? don’t say proactive or clean and clear used both w/ limited or no results

A:tried, it nope it didnt work. but i have something that helped my face traumaticlly. i had really hard nasty crator acne, so my doc put me on climycin and now i only have mild break outs during that time of the moth. and it only costs $5.00 if u have insurance. im dead serious try this stuff, it really works. and also you have to wash ur face twice a day with ance soap.

A:all i know is ehile proactive may get rid of some zits.. it will dry your face waay too much and make you eventually really wrinkley

2.Use toner to remove further dirt/make-up
3.moisterise if you have dry skin.
4. use a pimple cream on affected areas : small amounts of alcohol or purfume may work becuase they can dry the pimples up. It may sting but they dry up.

Hope this helps: also eating healty and drinking loads of water. Try not to touch the pimples or pop them. This will further damage your skin. Read the current Dolly magazine for more tips!

Q:ok ive been using skin id for 2 or 3 weeks i guess. first it broke me out (just getting the infection out) then it got clearer, but now im getting whiteheads like u know under ur eyes beside ur nose area, and i have acouple little spots on my forehead
i just dont want to get a huge breakout expically bc im going to flordia in 2 wks
(also if anyone knows like any remedies with common househols items that u can use like a mask or something)

A:i honestly think u should go to the dr. i got this stuff called clindacymin and i LOVE it. it works sooo good. i put it on a pimple and in 2 days its gone. i love it.

A:ehhh i wouldnt waste my money on that crap! its like 40 bucks!! and you never know if it will even work for your skin cuz sometimes certain face washes and cleansers wont work for different ppl. i would just go out and buy some plain old white dove soap. you can buy it in a big package. it works great to clear up acne and gives your skin a nice healthy glow. plus it doesnt even dry out your face. also its good cuz you can use it as a body wash in the shower too so its not like youll be wasting a lot of money.

A:when buying acne products, check the back of the label and see if it includes 10% benzoyl peroxide on the active ingredients.

for maximum results, use a facewash with 10% benzoyl peroxide and an acne lotion with 10% benzoyl peroxide. you should do this in the morning and in the afternoon, you should wash your face again ( without the facewash) with just water and put on regular lotion in order to prevent from the skin drying out.

A:I’d suggest Soap & Glory the sugar scrub which is on marshmallows and almond oil is the best it moisturizes your skin and keeps it acne free and its for the body and face.. Smells Good too (:
